11. GREEN LUNCH Frankfurt: Carbon Zero Concepts

February 21, 2019

On February 21, 2019, the 11th GREEN LUNCH Frankfurt took place at the event location “Laube Liebe Hoffnung” in the Europaviertel. According to the announcement on the homepage, the Laube is a place for happy time-outs and was therefore just made to take the big, whole view and deal with the important topic of “Carbon Zero Concepts” for our planet.

After the welcome, an exciting talk by Dr. Heiko Bozem, who completed his studies and doctorate in meteorology at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, awaited us. Today he is working at the Institute for Atmospheric Physics. In particular, the search for traces of pollution in the Arctic is the focus of his research activities. From his travels to the Arctic, Dr. Bozem has brought back exciting impressions.

Together we were able to discuss the effects of global climate change and the possibilities in the areas (energy production, transport, building management, etc.). Since carbon dioxide (CO2) is the largest contributor to the anthropogenic greenhouse effect, which is mainly responsible for global climate change, sustainable concepts are needed that focus on CO2 neutrality.

As usual, Dr. Wagner & Partner moderated the event and discussion around this exciting topic.
