Initial situation

The district of Central Franconia required extension of its town hall. Organisational building planning was to be carried out for approx. 500 employees from three locations with the idea of future-oriented workplace concepts. As part of a participatory process, the user groups were introduced to new workplace concepts by means of visits, interviews and workshops. The result was summarised in the space and function programme.

Services

  • Basic assessment & needs analysis
  • Space & functional programme
  • Ideas competition & pilot project
  • User consulting & change management
  • Move management

Results

As part of the consolidation strategy, it was possible to develop a clear roadmap for extension in two construction phases by 2019. The space and function programme contained not only a quantitative but also a qualitative definition of the future extensions. This definition was the guideline for the executing architectural firm Henning Larsen Architects. Until relocation at the beginning of 2019, a dedicated change management system remained in place so as to accompany the employees on their journey into a new working world.

“Through consulting competence, moderation skills and practical experience, W+P has become a trusted partner who provides convincing advice on organisational building planning and change management.”
